DREAMS DO MATTER

Several months ago, while I was working hard on #allthethings my two year old son let himself into my office and gave me the brightest yellow dandelion that I had ever seen. While the stem was too short to put it in a vase (or really do much with for that matter), my son’s little gift turned my day around for the better.

You see that day, I was wondering if what I was trying to accomplish really mattered. Would people even care about all of the hard work that I was putting in?

My son’s simple, innocent, beautiful gift of a dandelion reminded me that my dreams do matter even if the growing of those dreams was proving to be a challenge.

That’s the exact place where Dandelion Blu was born.

Why dandelions? They are symbols of residency, hardiness, and represent staying power in a visible way.

Often looked at as weeds, dandelions are actually a thing of beauty and symbol of hardiness. The world may tell you that your idea won’t work, you can’t do this or that. But your dream is beautiful. Your dream is valuable!

I am here to encourage you to follow the example of the dandelion. Keep on pushing through. Even if you feel like your beautiful flower of a dream is trying to grow through a crack in concrete, do not give up. The world needs you. Stay encouraged my friend and notice the dandelions!
